I hate the "I'm going with one guy and that's that" attitude. There's nothing wrong with picking a guy, and there's nothing wrong with going to the other guy, either, if things aren't working out quite so well.
Which coaches do that besides Spurrier? I'm assuming you'll be watching football Saturday? Lots of offenses will struggle, let me know who pulls their starter. Especially, in a game where they started as 20 plus point dogs. Heck, Meyer might be the best coach in the country and he stuck with a struggling Jones for 5 games despite having one of the most dynamic players in the country on the bench. Last year, I watched Meyer stick with a gimpy QB almost blowing their game with PSU because he refused to out Jones in.That's where I stand too.
If the offense isn't going anywhere at all, I'd make a switch for the game to see if the other guy could do something. Most coaches do that. I think it's rarer to see someone pick ONE QB at the beginning of the season and stick with him no matter what happens.
Just curious.

Va tech too ya?The good Nova/ Rettig. WVU snow game, TTFP and Kent State were games when I really wanted Nova to be pulled.
Does anyone seriously think not benching No a at times made him better?
In my wildest dreams I would have never thought that 47 out of 68 would say they were more Pro Nova than Dodd. Is anyone buying that? This board was far tougher on Nova than they are on Laviano.
It makes sense when you consider that Laviano playing poorly has become a tertiary concern to the fact that our defense can stop no one and if we do make it down field, we cannot even make chip shots.
The argument was at the time (though it was BS) that Nova was the reason we were not a good team. Nova had his bad moments, to be sure, but he had 4 different OCs in 4 years, a coaching staff that didn't correct his footwork till he was a senior and that left him in a situation that caused him to be injured as a senior, and OL that was often questionable, and a defense that was gassed off the bat forcing him back on to the field.
The other thing is, Rettig is better than Dodd. So people have more reason to be mad. Dodd was the QB when we were blown out by 3 win UConn.
The UConn game where Carroo was injured? Did Nova play without Carroo? Inquiring minds want to know?
