If flood gets canned , would any of them get picked up next year by another power 5 program to be a position coach ? Towel boy ?

I could see Ben McDaniels being a coaching assistant for the New England Patriots. Are they considered a Power 5 program? [winking]

Well, lets start off with you being a total d-bag and go from there. No one is a towel boy. I doubt you have achieved their level of success in your field. That said there are many on the Staff who will have no trouble getting another position should the need arise. But, of course, if you did your research you would know that and would ask a question respectfully and not like an inane tool!

Ok, I am a d-bag and I am a mediocre in my field . Got it . So who exactly is getting hired at another power 5 program next year ? I am just asking . I am sure at least one of them will be . Maybe not a towel boy , towel guy ?

The last thing you're doing is "just asking". The towel boy comments show that.

If you're going to post nonsense at least be honest about your intent.

A more valid question is - what school would take Flood

1) over their current coach
2) if they had a vacancy

I'm willing to bet that not one school in the big 10 would hire Floor as a head or position coach, but who would- if anybody?

Nice, you graduated from d-bag to fluffer! That should keep your hands busy an away from the computer. Guess you will be needing that towel.

It's a legitimate question if someone else is power 5 worthy . We are competing against these schools so we need power 5 coaches.

Then that should be your question and yes, it's legitimate.

Plum, I'm not trying to be the board police. I have no right and sure ain't an angel myself but it would be better for everyone here if people discussed real issues/concerns without the extra stuff that takes away from the discussion. Just my opinion sir.

Just off the top of my head....
Panagos would have his pick of schools
Campi has already turned down offers from P5 schools including Tennessee.
Wilson has proven he can coach RB's and was an OC at a BCS program.
McDaniels would would easily get a P5 or NFL gig.
Wilson ver well could. He was highly respected in Iowa.
Thing is, once you are in the coaching family you tend to get recycled. That being said, it's obvious OP's point was stupid. Also, Frasier and Galiano will probably be back on Schiano's next staff

Even when RU was getting it's head handed to them earlier during Schiano's years a few assistants went on to become head coaches at various levels iirc. There are former assistants in the NFL now and spread out all over the college landscape. It seems to me it isn't always record at a previous school, it's what you bring to the overall staff and relationships that were developed elsewhere.

Ok so it seems we have some good coaches on staff .

In college recruiting is so much a big part that'd have to included in any true evaluation. You can be a very good x and o guy and a great teacher but it still comes down to the horses.

We all know what the majority think of RU's recruiting efforts. Most blame Flood for all shortcomings but I have to believe, if even a small part overall that the entire staff has to take some responsibility.

Agreed. The staff and players deserve some of the responsibility as well.

The problem with the staff is that Flood chose these folks.

Mitch Browning (OL) coached for Minnesota (10 yrs), SU, Tenn, Kansas I'm sure he had connections and is well regarded (up to now anyway)

I'm sorry but the OP has a point. Most of staff are made up of guys past their prime or no experience. Browning was coaching at Davison before here. McDaniels was at the Bucs as a OA thanks to GS relationship. Wilson was coaching in the Ivy League. Campi and Panagos will get looks.

Rossi would get a look, but not as a DC.
Wilson was a HC in the Ivy, before that was UConn's OC.
He'll get a look-see as a RB coach .
Fraser might get a look as well as a LB coach
McDaniels probably won't be interviewed for a P5 OC position, but I can see him getting
hired at a P5 school as a position coach.
Hell, Flood might pick up an OL P5 job.
Campi and Panagos have a chance as well.
D Wilson and Browning : mid major candidates as position coaches, so they don't have to settle for the towel boy job at a P5, unless the money's good
Galiano probably would go down a notch and be a STC or DC at a lower level.
Unless that towel boy job appealed to him, can't see Phil at another P5 school

Flood might be able to land a GA position at another P5 team. Doubt he gets a spot as a position coach at an upper echelon program because those coaches are expected to be able to recruit.

Well, if you're gonna hold the position coach accountable for the strength of the position....which I think you should.... then kudos to coach Wilson for our deep talent at running back. If we were as strong at the other positions as we are there this program would be in far better shape than it is now.
