who's ash bickering with on sideline

I'd bet a grand that this story didn't go exactly like this...

Pretty much like that, he was making a really bad decision and I had been fighting him on it for awhile. I had options.

I think he and burnham had a heated exchange going off the field at halftime last week as well. I did not see the exchange today.
He was going right toward ash as to not back down . That is not good.

not sure what happen on the sideline but no assistant should ever be separated from a head coach. That is blatant disrespect and should be dealt with with a heavy hand.

Works for me. Helps tremendously in all facets of life when you lose the need to feel like you have to have the last word. In the case of marriage, nodding and agreeing more gets you a lot more . . . . .
Only within reason. I do the same thing, shake my head in agreement and say ok that'll work. Unfortunately, if you've never defend yourself things sometimes could get worse.

I am in the phase of life where I am in cruise control and don't care about being "right" anymore, whatever being right means. Sometimes it meant winning the battle and losing the war.

Yep. A good relationship is one where you allow her to correct you without argument every time she is wrong.
Sorry guys I can't live like that but I have respect for those who do. The little lady and I have mutual respect for one another and I go out of my way to not be a last word freak. I draw the line on "very important issues" and trust me it's meant not to be crossed. Not trying to be a tough guy because I'm not, but I cannot allow ignorance to prevail especially when money is involved. All the other BS I let her win with a smile.

Back on topic, if Burnham and Ash were going at it, Burnham should not be raising hell on the sidelines during a game. Wrong place and time. Hash it out after the game.

Sometimes the pressure to win and the frustration and situation at the time surpasses logic and decorum. Unfortunately it is what it is. Reminds me if the time that Buddy Ryan went after the OC when the offense was playing poorly and constantly putting the defense on the field with turnovers and poor play.

LOL. It took me a while to learn when (and how) to shut up. My career benefited tremendously while not having to be a total suckup.

Yes. Your next boss/bosses are watching, evaluating, and taking note. Smarts, wisdom, tact serve you well in how you handle toxic leaders.

At some point, you may realize you have risen as far as you'd like. And then it gets tough. You really have to be "all in" to be effective. 1/2-arsed "leaders," unfortunately, are a dime a dozen in any organization. You don't want to join those ranks.

They actually had to be separated. To me that's a bit more than heated. No one on that sideline should ever try to undermine the head coach like that guy did. Either he goes or should be suspended without pay for a game or two. On the flip side of that argument I'm getting tired of Ash's mean tough guy stares and berating the athletes on the sidelines.
Yeah, that plays a little better when there are some positive results.

Turay will always be remembered for the blocked field goal. Unfortunately, he has not developed into a defensive line player of note.. He was very raw when he arrived here and injuries have really held him back. I don't think he will ever be anything more than a situational player.....third down pass rusher. He really does not have the body to be a defensive line force.

Coaches arguing/fighting isn't necessarily a bad thing. We have no idea of the dynamics between Ash and Burnham. A few weeks ago Saban killed Kiffin. Ditka and Ryan used to fight like crazy. Granted, they both won/win big time but the point still stands.

Do the players get to yell at the coaches for the double reverse call? They do get to take home boat load of money instead of a trophy.

That was one of the dumbest plays I have seen in such along time. The field position was way to short for a play like that.

He was yelling at Burnham. He was pissed he subbed in Turay on the previous play who gave up contain on the crucial 2 and 10. The QB ran for 9 yards. Turay was in on the 3rd play and Ash called timeout to get Turay out of the game and put Hogan back in. The DL coach can't sub in a player you can't trust during the most crucial point in the game. That's why Ash was so mad.

Well Ash didn't think it was the rest of DL's fault. Hence why he called timeout, took Turay out of the game and gave his DL coach an earful. It's possible based on the call Turay was not supposed to let himself get pushed that far wide out depending on where the rest of his teammates were supposed to be on the rush. I really like Turay and wish he could play more but I've seen him make these mistakes before. And when you play only a small number of snaps the mistakes are magnified.
How do you now this?

I think people are making too big of a deal out of this. Coaches disagree with calls during games. They didn't attack each other or physically need to be separated, at least from what I saw on TV. They chirped at each other very briefly & a player tapped Burnham to move away from the situation & he did.

Turay became a message board all american before his play ever warranted it. I realize he is now coming back from injuries but people hyped him beyond realistic expectations given his HS experience and the need to fill out his frame to be successful against better competition.
