There has been a small group of folks who kept saying that nothing would happen...please feel free to use this as your confessional and wash away your sins.

I hope laviano thinks twice about what he's throwing up on social media now...

Based on Flood's public posture, I always felt that he had been told he was not getting the axe. Obviously wrong and can only wonder how naive KF must be.

I think Slyker really was Flood... he's been invisible for the past few days. Would have thought we'd see post after post bragging about how Laviano did against Maryland.

I don't know if Flood was simply putting on an act with his comments during the post-game presser yesterday about him planning to be RU's head coach for a long time or not. If he was, I suppose he thought he might be able to bluff his way through to another year. If he wasn't acting, then it was the height of delusion.

Either way, what was needed to be done, as far as KF is concerned anyway, was done, and that's what matters.

Right here. Not hiding.

Did not think it would go down this way. While I'm as disappointed as I am surprised, I'm also optimistic and just as loyal to the institution and her constituents as I was yesterday.

The new hires will enjoy the same fidelity and support I threw to the old regime, as will the starting quarterback, whomever he is in 2016.

Undoubtedly, we'll be able to rely on you for the same kind of message board heroics and hoagie shop pontificating that has defined the very best that Rutgers has to offer for more than four decades.

One of the guys is so arrogant and so full of himself and his "group" he will never post here again.
He's the guy that can't find any tickets to expand his "group" who are knocking down his door for quality seats

I've been saying 60/40 RU doesn't fire him (thinking it would be next year instead). So I'll eat 60% of a crow.

But you know, some crows taste better than others. And this crow doesn't taste bad at all seeing as how we should wind up with a better coaching staff. Like I said all along, betting they would fail to fire him this season was always a win-win proposition.

Exactly the way it should be, here's hoping the the hoagie shop chatter is about how awesome a job the new coach is doing.

I am eating coconut custard crow pie. I did not think that the university would want to open the wallet and figured Flood would have one more year.

Who?

Sadly, this can also be said of the NJ recruits he was on early in their recruiting process.

I am for sure. I had them both going, but on Monday. Great to see a little urgency here.

You mean the one that used to rate all of the threads one star? Oh he'll be around. He can't help himself.

I didn't know what would happen but was leaning towards Flood was staying. I don't think Flood did a tremendous job, but he also wasn't terrible, and it is pretty disappointing to see how immature people are here in trashing him, the school, the other posters, etc. People who think we can just spend a lot of (nonexistent) money and win most every game going forward are just plain stupid and are in for a world of disappointment.

As for what Laviano posted, I agree with him.
