Why can't we be Iowa?

I wonder if deep down Iowa fans are slight perturbed with this season. They all wanted Ferentz gone and now he will be there for at least 3 more years. As posted above, they haven't been great the last 4 years.

They will lose their next two and then go back to 6 or 7 wins next season. Last 4 seasons Iowa only finished with an 8-5 record once and we did it year 1. I. Have no problem being Iowa but you guys need to remember it's not 1989 anymore.

rutgers can be iowa, if you remember iowa had 21 straight losing seasons going into the early 80's and Hayden Fry came on board and we were fortunate to recruit new jersey hard.We have had 2 coaches since 1979 and have run a similiar system for 30 some years.Iowa puts an emphasis on both sides of the line with a lot of kids who aren't heavily recruited but are tough punch you in the mouth kids (a lot of former wrestlers) then go get some athletes for skilled positions.Iowa's football facility by everyone's account is the best in the country right now.Rutgers needs to recruit locally and figure who they want to be from a system standpoint and stick with it.Rutgers can do it.I think people from the outside see more posites with rutgers than rutgers fans do themselves.
