Why is Rettig never involved in the sideline conversations during timeouts or breaks?

Has anyone else noticed this besides me?

Whenever Laviano goes over to the sideline to discuss with our staff.... I rarely if ever see Rettig right there soaking it all in as well. Rettig should be our starter and at the very least is one injury away from being our starter.... why isn't he in on these conversations?!

Does this issue fall on McDaniels, Flood, or Rettig or all three? I have no idea we can debate that in the thread, BUT either way Rettig should absolutely be privy to these conversations and I do not know why he isn't.

If this is the case, then I expect, it's because he doesn't want to take any learning opportunities away from Laviano. After all, he only has him for a few more games...
