I did not get putting tylin in at either point. Yes gio was hurt and was one dimensional but still he was their best option.

I don't see how anyone could think the QB situation this year other than finally getting Gio in has been anything but an unmitigated disaster.
I think burning Oden's red-shirt was a big mistake, but not putting him in for a limping Gio today.

Apparently someone told the announcers that they had said, prior to the game, that they wanted to get him a "series or two in every game from here on out." He didn't fair well on the 1st 2 downs and we had 3rd and 9 so they put Gio back into the game.
