Will any of the current assistants survive the house cleaning?

question from another perspective - are there any members of this staff that might get a job offer before the new coach is hired? No? .... humm - what does that say?

A few guys certainly will. We have some good young coaching talent and some solid vets on staff- many of them will easily land a job.

True, though Ralph did do slightly better. 15.9 pts per game against the top 75, and 39.6 against those worse than 75.

Also consider that Janarion Grant had no KO/Punt return TDs last year, but had 4 this year (though only 1 was against a team with a top 75 defense). There were (amazingly) no defensive TDs in either year (great job, Rossi). That would put McDaniels' offensive scoring numbers at 11.1 ppg for teams better than 75th and 33.4 for teams above that number.

Granted, Friedgen had Nova and McDaniels had Laviano, which has to be considered. But offensively, we were scoring 5.8 fewer points per game against all programs this year.

Are you giving Rossi special teams credit? Was he ST coach?

really? before the new coach is hired?
Yes, there are some worthy individuals on this staff - BUT
I was not asking if they will eventually land a job if they started to look
- but essentially if they were any that were such prized prospects that they would be targeted by other programs & get overtures to leave RU even before a new coach was named.

The new coach picks his staff. It really doesn't matter one whit whether he picks someone from this staff or not.
