True, though Ralph did do slightly better. 15.9 pts per game against the top 75, and 39.6 against those worse than 75.
Also consider that Janarion Grant had no KO/Punt return TDs last year, but had 4 this year (though only 1 was against a team with a top 75 defense). There were (amazingly) no defensive TDs in either year (great job, Rossi). That would put McDaniels' offensive scoring numbers at 11.1 ppg for teams better than 75th and 33.4 for teams above that number.
Granted, Friedgen had Nova and McDaniels had Laviano, which has to be considered. But offensively, we were scoring 5.8 fewer points per game against all programs this year.
