OOOPS, meant Tyler.

We will keep you posted as well. Rutgers is going to miss her. Extremely smooth player and obviously can score.

In exciting Rutgers women's basketball, Tyler Scaife was just selected in the 20th overall pick (2nd round) by the Phoenix Mercury.

Congrats to Tyler.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers’ second all-time leading scorer Tyler Scaife is heading to the Phoenix Mercury as the Scarlet Knight guard was selected in the second round in the WNBA Draft on Thursday night.

Scaife becomes the 20th Rutgers women’s basketball player to be drafted into the WNBA.

A WBCA Regional All-American and First Team All-Big Ten selection by both the coaches and media, Scaife led Rutgers to a 14-game improvement in 2017-18 leading the Scarlet Knights at 19.4 points per game. She netted 20 or more points in 17 contests this past winter, including seven-straight between December 2 and December 31, and poured in a career-high 30 points in her final at game at the RAC against Iowa on February 21.

The Little Rock, Arkansas native finished her career “On The Banks” with 2,233 career points to land second all-time in scoring behind All-American and Rutgers’ first-ever WNBA pick, Sue Wicks. Scaife was the country’s eighth active leading scorer.

Scaife landed on numerous watch lists throughout the 2017-18 campaign including the Wade Trophy for the best player in women’s basketball, the Dawn Staley Award for the country’s top guard and Ann Meyers Drysdale Award honoring the nation’s top shooting guard.

The Scarlet Knight guard was named to the Big Ten honor roll four times this past season, twice was named a Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Player of the Week and was featured on ESPNW’s Top 10 Plays of the Week in late December.

WNBA contract 2018 base first year salary for 2nd round draftee: $41,796.
Bonus, depending on team's level of success in the post season: $0-$11,000.

Average WNBA base salary: around $73,000
Maximum WNBA base salary: around $110,000

Overseas salaries for WNBA players during the WNBA offseason: average 10 to 15 times their WNBA salaries.

Overseas salaries for WNBA-camp-cut players are more varied: $4,000-$8,000 per month for 4 or 5 months per year was one estimate I saw.

Leagues in Turkey and Korea seem to be the highest payers right now, with Russia and China close behind. China limits one foreign player per team.

Why do foreign teams pay so much higher? The teams are not usually profit-motivated. They are often vanity projects for oligarchs and companies.

Thanks to Tyler for making the past few years easier to watch. Sadly, will she be the last McDonald's All-American in the CVS Era?

Zippy your lips. CVS can still recruit.
Don't forget Vivian brought in the #18 HS WBB post player in the Country.
Tyia Singleton, a 6-2 forward is ranked as the No. 18 post player in the nation by Hoopgurlz and a Rutgers commit
