why is it absurd? While their conference is respectable, as they progress they will almost certainly drop some.

It is simply a mathematical formula.

They played a very balanced schedule, have a very good record themselves, and if they are indeed 1st now, they won't stay that way.

Real Time RPI inexplicably has RU with an extra win - Indiana is in there twice, and the second game is shown as a win - so it's wrong. The NCAA's RPI calculation shows RU as #25.

I think that RPI is screwed up. Most of the Big 10 conference records are wrong.

That RPI might not include Sunday's games, which included a full slate of B1G match-ups.

That's not it. Examples, they have us at 5-1 in league (we are 4-1), NW at 4-2 (they are 4-1), MD at 4-2 ( they are 3-2), OSU at 4-2 (3-2), and Purdue at 2-4 ( 2-3).

Ha! One is too many! However, there will definitely be more than one this year. I'm thinking 4 or 5. To this point in the season, this team is far from vintage UConn.
