Adams with 12. RU 4/10 on foul shots

McMullen banks a three at buzzer to put RU up 47-43 at half. 3 pointers still killing RU - NJIT now 9/20. RU 2/8. Over half the NJIT buckets are from 3.
Foul a bonus for RU - 11/18 versus 1/1 for the Highlanders,
Three NJT players in trouble with 3 fouls, including their leading scorer.. RU only three turnovers

69-56 after three, in spite of numerous turnovers (now 14 for game) and terrible foul shooting 18/34.
Out rebounding tech 47-26

NJIT played 5 guard lineup. Starting center and forward we’re not available.

And it was still that close??
Team is clearly more talented, in quality and quantity, than previous years, but they need a LOT of work. How do you let NJIT (or any team) come into your house and score 84 points?? They could not keep up with NJIT's speed or ball movement... hence the numerous open 3s allowed, and made at a nearly 50% clip last I looked.

RU's offense... Do they run any sets? So much one-on-one hero ball. Wow. This squad has a lot of potential, but more structure and discipline is needed. I'm concerned for when the meat of the schedule comes.

First women's bball game in a long time. Took the family and right at the very beginning someone from RU asked if we wanted to come down and sit courtside. It was awesome. My 8 year old daughter was thrilled to get a tee shirt from one of the cheerleaders. And during one of the stoppages, the refs let her and her brother hold the ball.

Pleased for the win, but free throw percentage is still troubling. Based on a couple of post-game comments, it seems that at least some of the players recognise that playing defense is important. They focused on defense in the 3Q and built a lead that they maintained while being outscored in the 4Q.

Anyone who has seen the homes games so far, do the three-point attempts look poorly advised, or is it more that they just aren't falling (yet)? Thanks for any insight.

They don’t take a lot of threes, but I think McMiller has a tendancy to take too many, especially early in the shot clock
