Refs absolute homers 9-3 in fouls against including an absolutely egregious call on Riley who pickpockets the at 6 yard line and would have easily scored
Even the announcers said it was just the wrong call by the referee

Yeah what an awful call on Tiernan. She absolutely picked the CB’s pocket and barely made physical contact.
All in all, a well played half by Rutgers except for the defensive breakdown on the goal. But that goal was set up by a bad giveaway before the Penn State player made the cross to MacBean.
We lead in corners 5-1 and have created a number of dangerous chances. Gives me hope for the 2nd half. But have to guard against PSU counterattacks, which have been very effective thus far on long through balls down the wings.
Tied it 1-1 on a great shot from Bradley just outside the 10 2 minutes in
And we just had. A 3 on 1 and an absolutely horrible pass to turn it back over
Trying to hang on for some reason we have gone into a defensive shell with about 10 minutes to go
Had with Tiernan she had an opportunity to win it with a minute to go and doesn’t even take a shot
Rutgers had the better of the play throughout second half, but PSU was pressing and dominating the last 12 minutes of the half. Rutgers having difficulty with the high press and couldn’t get ball out of its own end. Bodmer made several good saves in that stretch.

Game ends in a very well deserved 1-1 draw. This is actually the best game Rutgers has played from start to finish all year against a good opponent.

Tiernan though WTF? Wasn’t watching the game, but why didn’t she take the shot? I hate when she dribbles too much. Dang.
She kept doing that quick stop and ball reversal thing, back and forth like she was trying to tee up a shot. I guess she didn’t think she had a clean look, as there were several defenders in the area. Her mistake was in not taking the shot quickly, as she had space but then it closed up as she kept dribbling.
If my memory is correct, Riley's card today was her fifth. So, she'll have to sit out next game due to YC accumulation.
Always agree with you I will add my take as because of my crazy schedule this is the first game I really got to sit down and watch from start to finish
As always defense excellent just the one lapse early which cost and the last 12 minutes I believe it was not just their high press but we went defensive as only Riley was up front and we had no options and thank goodness for Bodmer as she made I believe 4 really good saves in those last 12 minutes
I think we really controlled the play most of the game but we have very very good midfielders but up front we are lacking finishers
I’m sorry Riley is not a finisher and on one play the announcer who I thought was very good made it a point to say that on that play she was selfish as she had two options
I know she is the all time leader in assists but man she could have so many more
Other thing holding us back is we still are not using the whole field as we played probably 75% on the right side and the reason for that is Tsokos!!
Wow she is unbelievable just a rock on that right side defensively and also started many offensive threats. Degas or Dad help me out who plays left D back and left mid?
The last thing about this game was the reffing as we discussed at halftime so I won’t go into the first half but after Bradley scored we had 2 or 3 great opportunities that he made absolutely horrible calls and I believe we would have scored on 1 of them
All in all a great job by the girls!!

That’s not good and that was a really stupid play as it was during a stoppage while they were setting up for a free kick
We initiated offense mostly on our left side in the first half. That’s Kassidy Banks’ and Claire Hammill’s side. But in the second half, we were mostly initiating from the right side. That’s Emily Mason’s and Tsokos’ side.
Does Mike do this so that we’re initiating along the sideline where the benches are located, so that he can communicate with the players?
As for your comment about the ref, the worst call was the foul on Tiernan in the box when she picked the CB’s pocket inside the goal box. Discussed earlier in this thread.
Definitely but there were also those two calls right after we scored the goal overall terrible job by ref as he could have called a couple of yellow on PSU and nothing

That's one of Riley's MO's. I posted a while ago that she was a dirty player. Harsh word, but I don't know how else to say it.

Unfortunately yes and watch almost every time she loses the ball she commits a retaliation foul; with her out lets see who steps up I hope he plays the younger girls as watch Girman last night she really brings very little unfortunately and we will hopefully see quicker ball movement as the ball will not be on Riley's feet too long

Yes, Tsokos is really good--all aspects of the game. Very nice young lady as well.
