Except for the first 15 or 20 min. of the 2nd half, completely dominated Northwestern. Northwestern came in 9 & 0 & ranked 21 to our 22. 1st period goal on well struck ball by Erica Murphy, off a nice feed by frosh Taylor Almer. 2nd period goal on a header by Colby Ciarrocca. Assist to Madison Tiernan on a beautiful ball to a header assist from frosh Nicole Whitley to Colby's header into the net. More tomorrow.
Checking the game summary, it appears that I was incorrect on the second goal sequence. It was Whitley to Tiernan for a header to Ciarrocca for a header into the back of the net. Guess the old mind ain't what it used to be. Just watched R Vision. Ciarrocca scored on a volley not a header. From the stands hard to see that among a thicket of bodies. Guess the old eyes aren't so hot either.
