Was she too selfish with the ball or were we just not good offensively today?Being outplayed. Too many soft & errant passes. Iowa very precise. With Tiernan back, Baron virtually nonexistent.

The give aways has been an issue all season as I think in general our passing is just not crispWe had a fair amount of opportunities, but we weren’t as precise as we needed to be.
And like dad said, we kept giving away the ball at midfield with light touches and errant passes, and in the first half, Iowa took advantage of that in starting their attack, and got 6 corner kicks, one of which they converted for a goal late in the half.
She missed a wide open net. Shot it over the cross bar. She still looks to possess & beat defenders first. The latter, she played fine
As I said, she played fine. Nothing extraordinary. Multiple opportunities for an assist or two where other players were either 1. unable to do anything or 2. just not where they should be. Damned if she does, damned if she doesn't. On to Thursday. She missed a wide open net. Shot it over the cross bar. She still looks to possess & beat defenders first.
Format has changed. Top 6 will get a first round bye. Only the bottom 4 will play the first round. 10 of the 18 will qualify. So, to win a share of the title, all we need is:
- Rutgers to win out
- UCLA to finish 1-1-1
- USC to finish 1-1-1
- Iowa to finish no better than 2-0-1
In an ideal world, finish fourth and grab the last first-round bye.
