He struggled early on in conf. play. We all know that. And State Penn isn't the biggest longest frontcourt in the world. With that said... Iowa, PSU, Wisky... of late, he is playing with all world confidence, he's finding crafty ways to score, and he's had some real highlight film stuff of late. Not sure if it's his doing or coaching or a combination of both, but he has finally realized that he is not going to back down and outmuscle a B1G front court, but what he is going to do is use his speed and athleticism to find ways to score. I just love the way he is playing right now.

Except for the last 2 minutes of the game, he was great. Love how he's trying to get his shots up QUICKLY in the low post. And continues to be beast on the glass!

I watched that Iowa til the end and he was still hustling. Gotta love that from the captain.
He made a couple of mistakes at the end today - but had another good game and hit some key shots today.
Really respect him.

He drives me crazy when forcing things on offense, but he has really turned up the effort on defense recently.

Loved the play where he intercepted the ball near the sideline and saved it behind his back to Corey.

After that play my thought was if we played with vision and made cuts we can power through our lack of shooting and be OK. Both players made it look so easy.

Yeah Freeman is "what he is"...and what he is...is dependable

- 2nd leading scorer (11.5 PPG) to Sanders (13 PPG)
- 1st in REBs...(8.5 RPG) nearly doubling our 7 footer per game (CJ 4.5 RPG)
- 1st in blocks per game
- 2nd in FG % .495
- 1st in 3pt %...he should shoot more 3's>>> .400
- leads the team in double doubles.....with 12 I think

There is a difference when Freeman doesn't have a lot of double teams coming at him, they got him the ball outside of the post and a lot more at the foul line area and along the baseline, where he had a chance to pass the ball if there was trouble.

On Gettys, I still wonder how patient we as fans would have been if this wasn't his last year.....I'm mentioning that here, because Freeman and Gettys are either a JUCO with a lot of playing time or a 5th year senior, where this is their ceiling or the player gets better much quicker than an underclassmen would in the front court.

I think Freeman will wind up becoming a fan favorite as this year goes forward and into next year....he showed some offensive moves that are deemed "bad shots", but he took them with confidence....Sanders crossover, step back 3, was also a little bit of confidence showing as well.

If we can get 25 points out of Gettys and Freeman in the front line and 40+ points out of Sanders and Williams, that's right at RU's average....keeping Gettys and Freeman out of foul trouble will determine things and how many more wins can this staff find on the schedule.

Freeman plays with heart and total effort all of the time. What more can we ask of him?

I think getting 65 points from 4 Rutgers players is being overly optimistic .The key for Rutgers winning future games is Sanders scoring over 20 points game.Anything less requires the rest of the team making up the difference which isn't likely to happen.

If Freeman can master those fade away moves or catch and shoot quickly, he will be even more valuable. He is learning that in the B1G play, he can't drive for a layup every time
