Wrestling - 2015 National Collegiate Open (NCO)

Camp stayed home with his mom. Frustrating for the coaches and I am sure him as well. Fear of competiting.

From what I have seen.

Winners

Dippery
Bernard
Giraldo

Loss

Painton

Patrick on double deck mat 3.

Patrick just won when his opponent who weighed in didn't show up to wrestle.

Underwood lost 4-3 to Joe Ghione of Lock Haven. Down 4-3, he refused to shoot for 90 seconds until 7 seconds left and almost pulled it off. Ran out of time. Need to try that a lot earlier.

Good job, Nick LaShell! Four rapid succession shots in ot to grab a win via a stalling call on your opponent. A big boy with heart and a gas tank!

I'm sure they're getting tired of the schtick, at this point.

Don't see why it would be frustrating for Camp, though, as he is ultimately doing what he WANTS to do. Unless there is some type of personal situation going on at home (I have no idea), in which case, I can see why you would say its frustrating for him too.

Either way, at least now we know it's more than just a weight issue.

apparently the local county shut down the NCO mid tournament claiming inclement weather. yet its raining here in northern va and there is zero snow accumulation. its supposed to hit 40 tonight and tomorrow.

wow, Fairfax County, Virginia. what a joke.

I just talked to my sister and mom driving back to NJ from a 4 week Florida vacation, they decided to get a hotel rather than drive through anymore bad weather.

We have Giraldo, Ottaviano, Dippery, Jackson, Messner, Lashell and Bernard left in the winners bracket. Patrick, Van Brill, Normandia left in wrestle backs.

I was watching the weather channel and there was an inane amount of accidents in Virginia during an hour period. They stated almost 100 accidents in 1 hour.

Crazy it was cancelled as Giraldo had Kraisser of UNC coming up. That would have been a great test for him

I'm not in Virginia, but down here in South Jersey, I was slipping and sliding around my neighborhood while driving. It started out as black ice, but a bunch of slush started to build up and freeze over, making it impossible to go anywhere. I hope everybody down there makes it home OK. It just stinks for a lot of those guys who put their hearts and soles into competing in redshirt/backup roles all year only to be sent home mid-tourney. Lots of cost involved with getting them down there. Just set up a mat in the local hotel they're all staying at and have at it. Haha.

i am 10 miles from the school where it was held and the roads are all fine. google maps shows nothing but green, very few accidents. this is just northern virginia municipalities being stupid.
