You don't have a right to boo

Wheezer been at plenty of games with fans booing the players don't be naive

Collective boos, frustrated boos…quarterback boos, please tell me what college this doesn't happen at in a major conference.
Why are you asking him - he actually agrees with you.

Question is, will there be quarterback boos tomorrow BEFORE he makes a mistake?

I'd hope the players know that any booing isn't directed at them. I love any kid that takes a chance on the RU football program and believes in how special it can become. However, booing this coach and our clown show administration is justifiable. For the 25K or so that will be in-house tomorrow, it's really the only acceptable way to voice frustration.

Although I do not like beating up college athletes, booing is a part of being a fan like it or not. I think most college level athletes are tough enough to survive it once in awhile.
I totally agree with Zap that a lot of booing is about coaching decisions.

All I'm saying is boo flood or when ever you feel the need but give these seniors a proper send off when they are announced for the last time.

No right to boo . .. and very little to cheer about. Tough being a Rutgers fan these days.

Please don't boo. Booing means you gave up on the team. Including the players. Its not like you can make a special boo that the players don't hear.

If you want a protest, then don't wear red. And cheer for the players.

But your contention is that they are booing the coaches after these plays, right?

I don't boo players, but seriously many of these guys hope to play professionally. At this level, they should understand and be able to deal with boos. They're not playing Pee Wee ball anymore.

I pay a good amount of money to go to these games. No one has the right to tell me how I should react to certain situations. I'm not one to boo players however bad plays I show my displeasure while good plays warrant my enthusiasm. Coaches are fair game. Your making 1.4 mil a year you damn well better get it right. If not you will hear it from me. Sorry but I'm very passionate about RU football. I'm not one to sit on my hands like many in the stadium. If it bothers you that much that people boo then go watch baseball or one of the many other sporting events Rutgers offers. If players and coaches a like can't take a few boos for bad play then they are playing the wrong sport.

No, because I don't believe players are being booed.
The coach is being booed for leaving a struggling kid out there.
But. . . these kids likely "feel" less than supported when they hear those boos, regardless to whom those boos are specifically directed.

Sure, they should. That's not my point. My point is for those that claim to boo the coach during a game but not the players. It's really, really hard to make that distinction - except during the drunk driving PSA.

This is where I find Rutgers' decision to run the same PSA with Kyle Flood during tomorrow's game interesting. The fan reactions to it during the Kansas game (when he was suspended) and Nebraska were telling, and I'm positive that the booing tomorrow at that time is going to be even worse. Does the administration know what reaction that they are going to get and running that particular PSA anyway as a sort of lightning rod for Flood criticism, or are they more insanely repeating it and expecting a different reaction (as Flood has done with Laviano)?

No, booing means you still care. The opposite of love isn't hate, it's apathy. I would rather hear a stadium of boos than crickets chirping.

Generally, for the MOST part, our fans do not boo the players, they boo the coaching staff... An example of this would be the pre game lineup of our players announced on the video screen...... Do we hear boos then?...... I think not...... Put Floods pic up and you probably will

I'm not confused in the least, poor play results in boos at this level of football.
It's been that way for a hundred years and will remain that way.
Let's just say, if you think not ONE RU fan was booing TurNova during one of his "episodes", you're suffering from an extreme and probably pretty pleasant level of delusion. Sounds like fun.

Every so often one of the Bootards start one of these holier than thou - do as I say posts telling everyone they should not boo anyone. That is a ridiculous and unrealistic sentiment. Just as fans cheer the good they will voice displeasure with the bad, Booing included. Now in fairness to the OP I agree we should be loud and proud with our cheers for the Seniors... but that really isn't in doubt, the fans WILL cheer for the seniors, so kind of a puzzling post to me.

Now back to the Bootards, to show us all how wonderful and better you are, you can meet before and after each game near the Hale Center, hold hands, and collectively sing the old coke song about peace and harmony to all the players and staff. You know that will do wonders for such fragile people (you know football players).

Just please don't post anymore of your "I never boo, so I forbid you to boo too" posts.

Actually I believe I quite clearly stated, fumbling, bumbling play will be booed.
Gary would have booed himself, as I have myself many times on just as big a stage.
Just curious, what is this reference of me being confused by big words and pleasent levels of delusion, sounds like fun, what is that? Are you trying to be funny? I don't believe I've made any personal comments about you
