clearly the best coached team in all of college sports.

very impressive.

:eyes:

Again? I can't tell you the last time Ohio State wasn't called for a penalty. They're 67th in the country averaging over 6 a game AFTER last night.

Stupid penalties and TOs have been OSU's problem earlier in the year. You can see them cutting down on both BIG TIME the last few games. I truly believe that if they play a relatively error-free game, they'll beat anyone. Sometimes they're their own worst enemy.

That's true. I heard they got a holding penalty last week.

or was it last year?

I forget.

Here's something to think about. They weren't called for holding in last year's Sugar Bowl (Alabama) or NCG (Oregon) - some BIG fans can't complain about BIG partiality in those games. MAYBE, just MAYBE their offensive line is that good and technically sound and really doesn't need to hold. 4 of the 5 starters returned this year from that line and keep in mind. we're talking about the so-called 8 to 9 man deep/NFL type Alabama DL that the OSU line shredded for 280+ yards rushing. If the OSU OL didn't need to hold or get called against the Bama line, do you really think they need to hold against some of tthe BIG DLs. Good lord !

Last week and the week before and I'm fairly certain at least one in non-conference but I'm not going through the play-by-play to look it up.

You didn't mention holding penalties though, you just said "zero penalties for tOSU (again)".

The last time they weren't called for any penalties in a game was September 18, 2010 against Ohio. The last time it happened in a conference game or the last time overall before 2010 was at least 1999, but sports-reference.com only goes back to 2000 and it wasn't since then.

Amazing that a team with a great coaching staff could ever play a clean game.

Amazing that any team, no matter how good the coaching staff is, doesn't get at least 1 hold on an offensive play or at least 1 block in the back on a return.

Tuff for a block in the back on a return call when we don't score:flushed:

So amazing that it's been a whole year since Rutgers had 0 penalties called against Ohio State last year...

I'm convinced some officials have a bias towards higher profile players and teams...judgement calls like PI or Holding seem to fall in the favor of stars...

Nothing new...Jordan got his own whistle just to name one and there are tons of other examples..officials read the papers too ..
used to watch a lot of oldtime OSU guys suddenly getting NFL flags and think it wasn't the first arm-bar they ever used

All that said OSU is tremendously coached..Meyer is top 3 if not 1...and they play a clean hard game...no issues with anything they did and if they wanted 70 could have done it but didn't..

Evens out in bigtime matchups but for RU against the big boys just another thing to deal with until/if they ever get on that level..

Can someone explain how Olineman for OSU can set ....than look to sideline reset .....while left guard would twist his head ...look back to Barrett and not be a false start?

Before this game Ohio State was in the top 20% most heavily penalized in the country.

But by all means carry on with this nonsense like the Penn fans do

Obviously OSU is a very good team and coaching is part of that. But last night that crew was afraid to call any penalties on OSU because they didn't want their buddy Urban to give them the evil stare.

You seriously think they didn't hold once? There was a clear PI call they didn't make.

The P.I. Non-call, OSU's 4th and 1 coversion, and Laviano's interception (the ball hit the ground before the OSU D.B. Secured it) were bad calls. Otherwise, I didn't really have major issues with the referees last night.

2 point stance. They just have to be set and not move for a full second before the snap. Of course not allowed to simulate a snap, etc, as well.

Lol, fans are complaining about OSO non penalties in a 49-7 game, very weak. The OSU fan said they are 67th in penalties called jeez some of these posts are embarrassing

How many penalties does OSU have with B1G crews on the field? That will tell the story.
