Rivals, 247Sports and On 3’s #1 player in the state of New York 4* Korey Duff had a “signing” with Rutgers ceremony yesterday at his HS so he should be good to go which is huge.

COMMIT STORY - https://rutgers.rivals.com/news/rut...024-georgia-db-antonio-white-details-decision

"Two-way player for his high school team, has good size and has a really good feel for the ball once it’s in the air no matter what side of the ball he’s on. Now he missed some time this past season and he didn’t get as much tape as he’d like as a senior, but he’s another tall, lengthy defensive back type prospect that Schiano and crew love, so he should fit in rather well.” — TKR PUBLISHER RICHIE SCHNYDERITE

COMMIT STORY -- https://rutgers.rivals.com/news/live-2024-db-kaj-sanders-announces-commitment

"Kaj is long fast tough and athletic. Great football acumen, very intelligent. He takes hard coaching always wants to improve. Explosive hitter w tremendous speed. Also he is beyond undervalued as an offensive player too, I think he can play running back in the Big Ten. He will be a dynamic offensive player this year for us. He is a winner in every way, hard worker very good in the classroom, drives an hour a day each way to come to high School that alone says a lot about his dedication." -- BERGEN CATHOLIC HC VITO CAMPANILE

COMMIT STORY -- https://rutgers.rivals.com/news/2024-new-york-dt-aaris-bethea-commits-to-rutgers-football

"Bethea has good size, a quick twitch off the snap and has some very good football instincts which can be attributed to playing for a well season program like E-Hall. Now like most linemen on either side of the ball, he will take a couple years to get on the field consistently, but he has a chance to be a multi year contributor for Rutgers after some time in the weight room.” — TKR PUBLISHER RICHIE SCHNYDERITE

COMMIT STORY -- https://rutgers.rivals.com/news/rutgers-football-lands-2024-north-carolina-wr-benjamin-black

SCOUTING REPORT: "As mentioned above, Rutgers has room for talented freshmen to get playing time so Black should see the field plenty next year. Black has a very high ceiling as a defensive back because of his great speed and ability to lock down a receiver. He knows how to play physically and it can be hard for quarterbacks to find completions when throwing to his man.

Currently listed as a receiver, Black may find the field quicker on the offensive side of the ball. He has a knack for making big plays and he's also a very reliable outlet for his quarterback. Expect Black to compete for playing time as soon as he gets on campus, but it could be difficult for the coaches to figure out which side of the ball to put him on." -- RIVALS NATIONAL RECRUITING ANALYST ADAM FRIEDMAN

This is the guy I was most worried about. He'll be a huge upgrade for Rutgers. :WooHoo:

COMMIT STORY - https://rutgers.rivals.com/news/more-on-2024-ol-raynor-andrews-commitment-to-rutgers-football

"The massive tackle talent is a sheer force on the edge, helping to protect his quarterback's blind side en route to a state championship game appearance as a senior. Andrews is too much to handle for most exterior and second-level players, and he wins those battles with relative ease while retreating or initiating contact. The offense he played in was wide open and worked with tempo, so he also took a big step in 2023 as a pass blocker, showing more patience than he had in previous campaigns, helping him to play with a lower plane despite a 6-foot-6 frame. Make no mistake, though, when it's time to run the ball and maul, this is the type of frame and mentality college coaches want to run behind.." -- RIVALS NATIONAL ANALYST JOHN GARCIA JR.

COMMIT STORY -- https://rutgers.rivals.com/news/four-star-wr-te-korey-duff-jr-details-commitment-to-rutgers-football

SCOUTING REPORT:
"Rutgers is in need of big-time playmakers because, frankly, there aren't many of them on its roster right now. Duff fits the bill and should see playing time from the first day he gets on campus. As a flex tight end, Duff creates a number of matchup issues depending on who is supposed to be guarding him. He is way too tall for any average sized defensive back to keep the ball out of his hands and any linebacker responsible for containing Duff will have a very hard time keeping up with him in the open field." -- RIVALS NATIONAL RECRUITING ANALYST ADAM FRIEDMAN

COMMIT STORY -- https://rutgers.rivals.com/news/rutgers-football-lands-2024-ath-noah-shaw-out-of-north-carolina

"Noah is a very versatile player on the field. He is built like a LB and runs like a DB. That has allowed him to play Outside LB, Inside LB, Nickel and Safety for us. His athleticism with his build allows him to do a lot on the football field. I would say Noah’s potential reminds me of an Isaiah Simmons from Clemson. He is that new style of hybrid player that has the mix of size and athleticism that allows defensive coordinators to put him anywhere on the field." -- ASHEVILLE HC CORT RADFORD

COMMIT STORY -- https://rutgers.rivals.com/news/2024-qb-aj-surace-details-his-commitment-to-rutgers-football

SCOUTING REPORT: "He's fiercely competitive, there's not a throw he can't make and he's the hardest worker I've been around and I've been around for a while. He's a great kid. His arm strength, his accuracy and his ability to read and understand what's going on all stand out. When we do film work on Tuesdays, I let him run the first 10 minutes of the offensive meetings because he just really understands what's going on. It never hurts that his grandfather has like 10 million high school wins, his father has done a great job in the NFL and at Princeton, so it certainly doesn't hurt to be around football your whole life. But that doesn't make him the phenomenal athlete that he is, he just broad jumped 10' 5" the other day and that's a great representation of how athletic he is." -- NOTRE DAME HC SEAN CLANCY

COMMIT STORY -https://rutgers.rivals.com/news/rut...cker-commit-samarian-robinson-following-visit
https://rutgers.rivals.com/news/rut...cker-commit-samarian-robinson-following-visit

"Sam is the general of our defense and a very physical football player. He takes pride in doing his job and making sure everyone around him is doing their job as well, which is what makes him an elite player for us. His game reminds me a lot of Lavonte David from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both are fast, physical, can cover and are ALWAYS around the ball. Also, he’s not afraid to get his nose in there to make a hit. If you want to go to war with anyone, Sam is the guy to have on speed dial." -- LINCOLN HS LBs COACH ELI WILLIAMS

COMMIT STORY - https://rutgers.rivals.com/news/2024-florida-db-dahkari-gilley-commits-to-rutgers-football

"The RU pledge was all over the field as a senior and his instincts flashed along the way, as Gilley made 10 sacks and added another 18 tackles for loss in 2023. He works with a commanding, downhill style that translates to play-making at the prep and collegiate levels. Whether as a bigger safety or eventually off-ball linebacker, he is strong against the run and in attacking from depth, with a torque that shows up all over his tape in his closing speed and explosiveness upon contact. Gilley will need refinement relative to what position he begins his collegiate career at, but the high-floor element of his game as an athletic defender who works well against blockers and in space could be invaluable to the Ruthers defense one day.." -- RIVALS NATIONAL ANALYST JOHN GARCIA JR.

COMMIT STORY -- https://rutgers.rivals.com/news/rutgers-football-lands-2024-michigan-lb-montele-johnson

"Johnson is a versatile playmaker that can fit in a variety of defenses. Because of his size (6-2, 225) there was some question on if his ceiling was higher on the defensive line or at linebacker. Rutgers sees him as a traditional Mike or Will linebacker and possibly having a role off the edge. Thanks to a strong work ethic he’s gotten quicker over the last year which will help him play more in space. He’s got real potential to be a thumper in the Scarlet Knights defense." -- RIVALS NATIONAL ANALYST GREG SMITH

COMMIT STORY -- https://rutgers.rivals.com/news/2024-michigan-te-monte-keener-details-rutgers-football-commitment

“Keener is another tight end who can use his length as a mismatch out there on offense, he has a wide catch radius and can haul in the tough throws. He’s also not afraid of contact and has some good size on him already a legit 6-foot-6, 220-pounds or so. Not to mention he isn’t afraid to get dirty and hit someone as a blocker. He has the potential to develop into a really nice tight end as long as he can maintain his speed while adding some weight to him at the next level.” -- TKR PUBLISHER RICHIE SCHNYDERITE

COMMIT STORY -- https://rutgers.rivals.com/news/2024-maryland-te-ath-matthew-ogunniyi-commits-to-rutgers-football

“Ogunniyi possesses great size and has shown the ability to be a versatile pass catcher playing either wide receiver or tight end at the next level. Not to mention, he also has the athleticism to create pretty big mismatches down the field. Now he was a first-team all-county guy his junior year, but he missed majority of his senior year, so weren’t able to get a full eval on how he’s progressed, but if he can back to playing like his did in 2022, he should be one of the better pass catchers in the tight end room sooner rather than later." -- TKR PUBLISHER RICHIE SCHNYDERITE

COMMIT STORY -- https://rutgers.rivals.com/news/2024-north-carolina-wr-isaiah-crumpler-details-rutgers-commitment

SCOUTING REPORT: "Crumpler was a mid summer get over a only a couple of power-five offers, but the more I watch the type, the more I like his game. He's pretty versatile able to play either side of the ball as he played running back, wide receiver and safety for his high school team this season. Now Rutgers likes him as a receiver and you can see why because has solid straight line speed, likely due to his track background and very good hands similar to his brother Algae Crumpler who was a four-time Pro Bowler in the NFL. Pretty underrated get for Rutgers here in an area that they would like to hit more going forward." -- TKR PUBLISHER RICHIE SCHNYDERITE

Have to admit that I'm not a big off-season, recruit follower but, damn I'm getting excited!! PLEASE, PLEASE use a TE in the passing game next year. Looks like RU is getting some athletic talent at the position. Lord I hope they don't waste it.

I have noticed a few things- boy oh by- Greg loves his long DB's! And that is a good think- Stocked up on TE's - this is such a position tat KC requires and the number 1 kid in the state happens to fill this need and we have another that could also be very good- WR- some big speed, a big body in a kid that coule be TE but also could just be a mismatch at WR- and Crumpler- Obvious- good genetics but he has to really understand this position at a very high level with who his brother is
LB's- looks like a great group- already have the size.
