Our current roster plus three "genuine B1G-level contributors": What do you want?

MINE
1) Shooter
2) Center
3) Rebounder (or another shooter)

Creighton was successful primarily based on shooting…although they did have a decent and very large presence at center also (true to the team philosophy he shot 30% from 3).

3 solid players regardless of there skill set. We don't have a hand full of players on R roster and the incoming frosh aren't enrolled yet.

You don't need to be a expert and genius to know that if we had even one more real shooter on our team this year we probably would have won many more games. If Spencer had stayed I don't think we would have had a losing season.

To win in this age of basketball, you need to spread the floor. Add shooters and a defensive center to get stops. That’s what they need.

Priorities will dictate what we get, Any worthwhile portal addition will want starter minutes, if you want a very good shooting guard that pretty much dictates a 3 guard offense, Dylan, Jeremiah, plus shooting guard, Three guard offense makes it difficult to get very good starter portal 4, Ace starts so any incoming four is coming off the bench, Three guard offense means you need a very serviceable 5 that can rebound, play defense, run the floor and has a least decent offensive skills.
Pike cannot offer starting minutes to a 4, a guard and a center. Lathan figures to get 10-18minutes, Lathan and the 5 will need to be able to run the floor in a three guard set.
Pike will need to decide upfront what kind of lineup he wants to run.
If he commits to starting minutes for 4 then it makes it difficult to run a three guard lineup.

Forget “getting a shooter”. We recruit shooters.

For some reason they suck at the RAC. Need to figure out why, hunch is we need to lay off some of the extreme defense.

Still need BIG quality guys though…the core of the team will be Frosh and you can’t count on all of them being ready out of the box - we saw that with GG this year. So we need guys who can step into a starting role.

And why not bring in a guy to compete with Ace/Dylan? These guys need pushed - and can also be a viable plan b if there is an injury - which nobody has contemplated.

Whoever we get needs to be a senior or grad transfer (more difficult to find now for sure). It will present the same type of competition the Frosh will face in the BIG and hopefully the NCAA tournament. Trust they will also help stabilize the team mentally because they are bound to hit down stretches.
