April 26, 1948, 76 years ago today, WRSU begins broadcasting to Rutgers U, New Brunswick, NJ dormitories on College Avenue Campus, and to the surrounding area of our City. This makes it one of the oldest college stations in the country, and one of the few still on the air from that time period. They started as an AM station, converting fully to an FM station by 1976. Still broadcasting in the area today, tune in to 88.7 FM 24-7 to listen. Happy birthday WRSU
