Did anyone who stuck around notice this … after the ridiculous targeting call, MSU offense walking back on the field, which was after the refs were doing the greatest highway robbery in an RU football game I’ve ever seen, someone around the 50 yard line on the pressbox sideline launched their beer can at the ref .. it made it to about the numbers.
I missed it but someone eventually took it away on the next timeout but it sat there during play. I said here’s where we get a scoop & score and Longerbeam trips on the beer can. Funny enough we got the fumble the next play but fell on it.
I’ve never seen anything thrown on the field at Rutgers Stadium before. It did make me think of the famous Ole Miss game against Tennessee which ended with the refs pausing the game while the cheerleaders and band ran to the locker room as beer cans, water, and famously a bottle of French’s mustard was thrown on the field:
