Listened to a discussion on ESPN radio yesterday driving home. Commentators were ripping college coaches for not doing a better job developing players for the NFL giving several players as examples. One was Mariotta who hasn't taken a snap under center or been in a huddle since high school. Their position was that the #1 priority of college coaches is to develop NFL players.

I'm 180 degrees opposite that sentiment in disagreement. From a personal selfish point of view, I would take going 11-2 every year with a good bowl game but no NFL players versus going 5-7 with no bowl but having several players move onto the pros. I realize I'm exaggerating as an 11-2 team would have a couple players gets shots, but just trying to make a point that college coaches have a priority to win games over developing NFL players. Thoughts?
