Football LIVE GAME THREAD: Rutgers Football vs. Michigan

Gleeson called a generally good game, but why he calls a jump ball on a one man route to his RB in the endzone when the WRs were killing the Michigan DBs all night is a mystery.
That could be the QB not taking what they give us... he was likely not supposed to throw that with that coverage.. or, as usual, threw it late and soft. Pachecko was supposed to beat LB coverage to a spot.. arriving just in time for the ball..

Young's PI was the worst on 3rd and 18 - how can you not keep the WR in front of you there?
he covered him properly... the WR grabbed HIM... the WR pulled HIM.. that was an awful PI call.. it was like the previous PI call about face guarding.. which is LEGAL in college. You do not have to turn to look at teh ball.. idiot announcer comments notwithstanding.

Starting to get worried .. 2 winnable games in a row with very, very questionable playcalling. We are somehow scoring points but there is some low IQ playcalling on offense
Instant classic. We looked great in prime time with the whole nation watching.

Can't win playing 11 vs 18.

Greg has us on the right path. 2-3 years for a bowl game. 4-5 years for equal respect from the B1G blue bloods and the bullsh-t reffing stops.
Give us a marginally better safety or QB and we win that game by 10.

Rutgers lost last year to Michigan 52-0 and had 150 yds of offense. This year 42 points and almost 500 yards of offense. We are in every game and a lot of fun to watch. Disappointed to lose the game but we are moving in the right direction without a doubt. R did not do us any favors.

the QB made that decision he had other options...not throwing in double coverage..
I think the previous play showed Vedral reached his limit of decision making. 3rd and 6 and he sits down for some reason? Get 2 yards.. get one yard. throw it over everyones head.. there are no clock worries. That was an odd decision. just like throwing it deep to Pachecko late.. into double cover.

Vedral played very well down the stretch. He needs to run more.

The calls UM was getting I would expect out of a ranked UM in the Playoff Hunt.

Not a 1 win team struggling to do anything.
I oft say about Ohio State vs US.. they will not need the help with calls.. bu they will get helped anyway.. it is maddening. It was like Magic Johnson or Micheal Jordan being allowed to do whatever they wanted. They do not need the help.. but get it.

The refs absolutely favored Michigan. PI was not called consistently for the 2 teams and that BS face mask call came at such critical time to give them fresh downs.

But if we don’t blow coverage on the kick off in first play of Q3, we win in regulation.

don't know how our outside contain guy ended up on the ground on that KR TD.. but we have had good specials.. and for him to go untouched, with no cuts... I suspect *something* odd occurred.

At one point late in the game the only penalty the Refs had called on Michigan all game was an obvious False Start. They had to call that one { probably did not want to} The second call was a Holding call late in the Game in OT when #2 was being tackled by the Michigan Offensive Tackle. Total BS with the Refs looking away all game.
Hobbs should make issue with the B1G league office in Indianapolis.

Guess we need the Big Ten to add some teams so we are no longer the noobs to be abused.

The problem with the refs is almost universal. Ask Purdue how they feel after this weekend. Against Michigan State, Michigan received 10 penalties, with many of them being critical and picky against the DBs.

Schiano will have you guys winning more than losing soon.
