Ash has been busy this week engrossed in the search to replace Drew Mehringer. One interesting point that we discovered is that the recruits are being told by Ash that he is hoping to wrap up the search very soon, like less than a week. But keep in mind that he used the word hope. Now, I have also heard from others close to the situation that they expect this search to play out more than a week. I have seen these searches before and kids are typically never told a search is going to take a while. However, the fact that Ash has revealed a hopeful timeline is showing some signs that there is progress being made. If there is a coach he has targeted and is in the midst of bowl prep, it's usually customary to wait things out before making an announcement. However, that trend is beginning to change. Just wanted to keep everyone updated in regards to the message Ash is sending to the recruits.
