Oh, the tragedy of being a football coach in the SEC.

Oh, the irony of an SEC coach saying the words "salary cap" in a sentence. If everyone is playing by the same rules, does this mean that other teams' players get to use deer antler spray without being punished?

No other conference should agree to their bull$hit requests.

Let them change their own rules if they don't like it.

They break their own rules on the reg anyway.

Seems they are getting desperate after getting exposed last bowl season.

Loved this part:

Speaking last month, Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany pushed back at the satellite camp complaints from SEC coaches. Delany said any national discussion about satellite camps should also include an examination of oversigning, grayshirting and "flipping" recruits -- practices that generally occur more frequently in the SEC.

The SEC is limited to 25 signees. This has been in place for 2-3 years now.

That's already been proved to be bogus...as the limited 25 are only for Dec 1 to May 31st of each year...but the new NCAA rules allow players to sign as early as Aug 1st for January enrollment...so any signing from Aug 1st to Nov 30th would still be legal for SEC Teams....schools like Tenn which have used this loophole to their advantage and to help backfill recruiting classes by using previous years unused scholarships to get around the 25 scholarship limit.

Here's an article that shows how SEC schools basically laugh at any restrictions on oversigning:

Plus, Grayshirting is still legal...which pushes any other signing to allow enrollment the following spring, yet keeps them binding to said school, even if they can't get summer/fall enrollment.

The SEC only play 8 conference games, most of their OOC games are at home, giving them something like 7 or 8 home games, and these games are mainly cupcake opponents. Plus , you get the enthusiastic boosters giving bags of money to the relatives of the stars (Cam Newton).

And how was the mastermind Saban when he had an even playing field in the NFL ? Just another mediocre coach.
