So Nick landed his 1st offer since his shoulder surgery from Wagner
Unfortunately, he missed his entire senior season as he was injured in our only scrimmage
So he was bummed
The only D1 team who was really considering him was Temple
He didn't run fast enough for Rutgers or Syracuse (4.8)
But both schools (Rutgers/Syracuse) are potentially looking at him as a PWO.....along with Temple
Without senior tape....Temple also moved him into the PWO pool
He still has a bunch of D1AA/FCS programs that should let him know in the Dec-Feb time frame
Lots of these schools are not sure how many spots they will have since a bunch of kids still have the Free 2020 Covid year....along with a Red Shirt
Good news.....he started speed training yesterday with Coach Onix Salva of Speed Island
That is where all the top football players train on Long Island/NYC....(Duff, Caden Brown, Josiah Brown, Alex Menghi, Aaris Bethea, etc)
His rehab ends in Nov.....then back to full strength training on Dec 1st
His goal is to come to college at:
6'2 - 225
Running a 4.7
Benching 225 x 8-10
Not sure what his deadlift and squat goals are.....but bench was always his weakest of the big 3 football exercises
