Alright let’s dive into what we know following arguably the biggest recruiting weekend in Rutgers Basketball history.

Let’s start with the man that everyone is talking about……..Ace Bailey. The five-star commit spent the weekend on campus with his entire family as they all made the trip up from Tennessee arriving late Friday / early Saturday morning. According to a source, Bailey had his recruiting hat on as he spent just about every minute with five-star target Dylan Harper as the duo continued to talk about playing with one another at the next level. Right now it sounds like the weekend went about as well as expected and things continue to trend in the Scarlet Knights favor to have the No. 1 recruiting class in the country. Also, it should be noted that Bailey plans on getting back up to campus for a game this season, likely the Georgetown matchup.

Moving on to five-star target Dylan Harper, all signs continue to point towards the Scarlet Knights as the leader in the clubhouse here as this weekend basically reassured things there. As mentioned before, he had a good trip and spent a lot of time with Ace Bailey, but also a good amount with the whole group of prospects on campus as well. As for what’s next with Harper? Only he knows that, as he could decide today, tomorrow, next week, next month or even wait until the spring to make his decision known. Regardless of when he decides, Rutgers continues to be in a VERY GOOD spot here and I feel about as confident as ever in our FutureCast pick.

Last, but not least is class of 2025 five-star recruit Trey McKenney, who made the trip over from Michigan for his official visit and according to sources things went very well here. He really connected with assistant coach Marlon Williamson and the staff as a whole did a good job of selling the program. Now McKenny might still be a ways away from making any decision as he wants to drag this one out a bit, but Rutgers has positioned themselves in a very good spot early on and they are at, if not near the top of his recruitment currently. Don't be surprised to see him back on campus for an unofficial visit sooner rather than later and stay tuned as TKR’s basketball recruiting analyst Zach Smart should have more on McKenney soon.
