Admittedly, Michigan is a school with a great coach and a ton of tradition. However, if you think U of M would be as well positioned as they are with top nj kids without Partridge you are kidding yourself. He is building connections with the top NJ kids the same way he did at PC. These connections are positioning Michigan to land these top nj kids. At PC he had to position that program against joe's, Bergen, and dbp. With those choices, kids likely used comfort and relationship as the deciding factor. Nj kids are certainly aware of Michigan and harbaugh, but partridge is the one getting the kids on campus and packaging the school. I really think he could have helped us. The guy has that "it" factor that kids gravitate towards. I hope we bring him back to nj as a coach some day.
