Well, they did beat a higher-ranked team.

Stats from Gametracker, so no specialty scoring just yet. (Now I've added them from the official box score.)

RU

Betnijah 16 points (5-13, 6-6 ft(!)), 14 feb, 2 a, 1 s, 0 b, 4 to - her eleventy-twentieth double-double
Tyler 12 points (6-15, 0-1 3 pt, 0-2 ft), 4 reb, 1 a, 0 s, 1 b, 3 to
Kahleah 9 points (4-12, 1-3 ft), 7 reb, 0 a, 2 s, 1 b, 2 to
Syessence 5 points (2-10, 0-1 3 pt, 1-2 ft), 8 reb, 1 a, 5 s, 1 b, 3 to
Rachel 4 points (2-4, 0-2 ft), 8 reb, 0 a, 1 s, 4 b, 1 to
Briyona 0 points (0-3), 2 reb, 1 a, 0 s, 1 b, 3 to

Ariel - 1 reb in 3 minutes
Shrita - 1 a in 3 minutes
Cynthia - 1 reb, in 2 minutes

The team shot 32.2%, 0-2 from 3 and a lousy (and uncharacteristic) 53.3% from the line. They scored 9 points off turnovers, 26 points in the paint, 10 2nd chance points, 8 fast break points and 4 bench points. They had 53 rebounds, only 6 assists, 10 blocks, 9 steals and 17 turnovers.

Big Red

Laudermill 16 points (5-28, 4-17 3 pt, 2-4 ft), 7 reb, 2 a , 4 s, 0 b, 2 to
Cady 13 points (4-7, 1-2 3 pt, 4-4 ft), 14 reb, 1 a, 1 s, 2 b, 4 to
Jeffery 7 points (3-11, 0-3 3pt, 1-2 ft), 9 reb, 1 a, 2 s, 0 b, 3 to
Havers 5 points (2-3, 1-1 ft), 1 reb, 0 a, 0 s, 0 b, 1 to
Cincore 2 points (1-6, 0-2 3 pt), 0 reb, 1 a, 0 s, 0 b, 0 to
Sample 0 points (0-3), 11 reb, 1 a, 0 s, 1 b, 1 to
Romeo 0 points (0-9, 0-6 3 pt), 2 reb, 3 a, 1 s, 0 b, 2 to
Smith - no positive stats in 9 minutes

Nebraska shot 22.1%, 16.7% from 3 and 72.7% from the line. They scored 20 points off turnovers, 8 points in the paint, 19 2nd chance points, 5 fast break points and 7 bench points. They had 49 rebounds, 9 assists, 3 blocks, 8 steals and 14 turnovers.

However Tyler looked on the floor, she actually shot better than Betnijah and Kahleah. And compared to some of the Nebraska players, she was lights out.

5-28 shooting for Laudermill! Lockdown defense.

IIRC Nbraska was 1 for their first 14 shots.

The Huskers did play without Theriot (sp?) who I believe is their leading scorer.

Brutal shooting game on both sides. Too many careless, unforced turnovers for RU which kept Nebraska in the game. But most importantly, we still won.

the lack of production from anyone not named Copper, Laney or Scaife scares me, this is a trend developing. Davis shooting 10 shots is a lot from her. What is up with Canty? Her offensive production is way down, I would rather her taking some shots than Davis

This is going to crop up in the NCAA tourney. Little production from the post on offense and no bench scoring. Parker showed some signs earlier but now she is getting less time. The inability of this team to put away teams despite double digit leads is hurting the development of the bench for sure

Canty has been way too hesitant since her injury--we need the aggressive, confident Canty we had at the beginning of the season.

Rachel actually played a very good game last night, especially defensively, and especially with her foul situation-->she played smart defense even with 2 and 3 fouls. They were double teaming her whenever she got the ball in the post, which made it harder for her to get scoring opportunities. But we need to see this Rachel much more often.

I agree on Canty. I thought she looked good the first game back..was it Minnesota? but it seems like she is more passive. It could be by design though. The problem with Canty giving no offense is you already have Davis not giving much, so if they are in together that creates a problem
