Welcome to the B1G! NJ.com is happy to have you. Sounds like some people had a bone to pick with Bohn.

"Bohn made inappropriate comments about the physical appearance of female colleagues, including remarks about their dress, hair and weight, that staff members said made them feel uncomfortable, according to two USC sources with knowledge of the incidents."

USC has retained a Philly firm to conduct and investigation:

"Cozen O’Connor describes Smith on its website as “the founder of the nation’s first practice dedicated to the institutional response to sexual and gender-based harassment, violence, child abuse, elder abuse, other forms of discrimination and harassment, workplace misconduct, and criminal conduct.”

Smith’s past work includes high-profile investigations into the handling of sexual harassment and misconduct at Baylor, Virginia and Colorado. Her Institutional Response Group was recently retained by the Cal State university system to investigate its response to a series of scandals involving sexual misconduct, harassment and retaliation."

"Kim McGraw, who served as director of business affairs within Cincinnati athletics from 2009 to 2019, said she saw Bohn make unwanted physical contact with women, including squeezing their shoulders and putting his arm around them. She said the interactions she witnessed made “her skin crawl” and made the women visibly uncomfortable."

Cover for Brian Ferentz getting pushed out.

From the article:

In March, Iowa state auditor Rob Sand called for Barta's firing in exchange for the state covering $2 million in settlements to a handful of former Hawkeye players, as a result of alleged mistreatment they received while playing football.

The University of Iowa eventually covered the entire $4.175 million judgment

Iowa has also been roundly criticized for continuing to employ Brian Ferentz as offensive coordinator despite repeated and obvious underperformance on that side of the ball. To skirt state anti-nepotism laws, Barta, not Kirk Ferentz, is Brian Ferentz's supervisor. The braintrust amended Brian Ferentz's contract this season that requires Iowa to average 25 points this season in order for his contract to be renewed.

The world has changed...

When I was with the League Office there was no such thing as "sexual harassment". The worst it ever got was that the occasional female employee would march into HR and demand a check. Those checks always got written. There was no other repercussion.

You worked for which league? PAC 12?

This is a paywall story on it if you have the Athletic.

Great article. If anyone thinks that Rutgers had issues prior to entry into the B1G, they are dwarfed by the cesspool that is USC. One sexual harassment and scandal after another.
Hiring OJ Simpson as the AD could be an improvement at this point.

Boy does this sound familiar:'

"Bohn passed a standard background check. But part of the reason an institution uses a search firm is for discretion, which meant there were limitations on how deep the vetting process could go without news of a candidacy leaking."

Remember when Rutgers railroaded the one AD candidate so that they could make the "we did it" hire? They glossed over a few background check details. Or did they?
