Where Rutgers stands with Title IX

Interesting read. Thanks for posting it.

One thing I question is why the absorption of the Medical School into the university would affect the calculation of the gender distribution of the student body. Med school students are not undergrads - only undergrads participate in NCAA sports, except in those rare instances where a player might graduate but still have a year of eligibility remaining. But those numbers would have a very limited impact on the gender distributions among the total # of university athletes.

Similarly, I always wonder why the university's enrollment is listed as 40,000 - 60,000 or something like that where the NCAA is involved. The actual figure that matters is the number of full-time day-time undergrads on the campus in question (New Brunswick-Piscataway). Everyone else is basically irrelevant to the operation of an NCAA sports program and aren't paying (in RU's case) the athletic fees that the full-time undergrads do.
