WSU just scored their TD and you're receiving the football, what do you do?
I'm surprised I haven't seen much talk of this, but it drove me absolutely insane. You've got Grant and Carroo, why in the hell wouldn't you fair catch the football and try to make something happen in the air to get you close enough for a long game tying field goal?
That lateral return crap was some high school crap. Did Flood really think that was going to work? Even worse, according to the post game that was something they worked on in practice. Wtf?
Things to remember: the clock stops on 1st down, you can spike the football, and you've got a first team all B1G WR.
