Wiffle ball bat?
Joe Maddonesque thing. I love it.
Who pitched? Hopefully a coach or walk on. Mound too close for those guys.
No – – I guess you think an "annual" plant is not an annual until it blooms the second year. As long as it is planned as a yearly event, the word was used correctly. And if the word had been used incorrectly, it would have been an error in DICTION, not an error in grammar. And you also have to learn the difference between a quotation mark and an apostrophe. You have a lot of work to do before you start picking on Tango.Hate to be the grammar police but this one is pretty basic .
It can't be ' annual ' until it's played the second year. For now it's the inaugural game.

First annual is appropriate and so is inaugural although I do prefer the term inaugural. It's a classy word.I appreciate the backup, but the guilty party is Rutgers.
I copy and pasted what Rutgers put out, and "1st annual" was part of it.
Thats why I never responded to the critique.
