Just caught the last min again on BTN...boy, so great to see them keep replaying this game...

At the end..loved seeing Young (the only guy) standing up and cheering...he also held guys back from getting on floor too early...nice leadership.

And doesn't montez look like a mini Junior Etou? (His face and body cause his effort blows Etou's away).

I've been noticing the same thing about Young. I don't know how things are gonna go for him on the court, but I sure do love what he brings from where he is now. If he's anywhere near as good a player as he is a teammate and cheerleader on the bench, exciting times are ahead.

I have noticed this too -- seems like a great teammate, always cheering the team on, showing lots of energy, and trying to pump up the guys.

I don't know what kind of PG skills he has, but he will certainly be our QUICKEST guard next year, something we sorely need.

I don't ever remember Etou driving to the basket in 2 years at RU. Montez does it all the time. Etou either got a rebound and shot or was hanging on the perimeter for a three.

You still have your memory at 74. That's good
He didn't lol.

1984, Yes at 74 I still have my memory. I am very lucky. I hope I never lose it. I can remember almost everything since I was 3 or 4.

I think Young's energy and spark is going to really make a difference next season. He adds a little swag too and so does Mulcahey to go along with Harper and EO. Adding players who can play but also have confidence is key to the turnaround

i've been watching a lot of Texas tape this past week or so of Young. Young wasn't "the man" there, he was like a tertiary scoring option. However, things that pop to me on the tape is that he
A) runs the floor well in transition
B) is a TREMENDOUS on ball man defender
C) he's a nice looking 3-ball (now granted it doesn't always go in however when he shoots from the corner he's pretty lights out that's his spot).
D) He's definitely NOT a point guard

I think Young definitely starts next year and is a team captain. Heck, he already basically has taken a role as a captain. He adds something to our lineup that we desperately need, a thicker, strong ATHLETE with confidence. I think our starting lineup next year is
1-Geo
2-Young
3- Mathis
4- Eugene
5-Myles

I think there's going to be alot of times where we go with super small lineups next year.
