Obviously a lot of guesswork on his part for time and TV assignments, but it's educated guesswork as the guy knows his stuff when it comes to what networks are thinking.

Here are his predictions for RU's first 3 games:
as Washington, 10 p.m. FS1
Howard, noon BTN
New Mexico, 8 p.m. BTN

An interesting read if you're into this stuff.

I agree about Matt Sarz when it comes to CFB TV, but you don't need to be Nostrodamus to figure these three games out. Washington is under the Pac-12 agreement with Fox, som FS1 at 10 eastern makes sense. The other two are BTN no brainers.

Howard at noon is a total no brainer. I don't think we've ever played them anytime other than noon. Plus we somehow always get stuck playing our first home game in the late summer heat in the middle of the day so fans can be passing out from dehydration everywhere.

NM at 8pm would be a surprise for me. I saw that as a 3:30pm game.

Another early September NOON start, but expected, lol! What a waste of a potentially beautiful day and/or having to deal with brutally hot and humid weather for the game itself.

Yeah, I'm thinking New Mexico at night, as well, and Iowa during the day with the opener a "no doubter" at night.

8pm for New Mexico will really help for the crowd and energy.

I'm hoping that the Iowa and Michigan home games will be night games and that we will be able to recreate the excitement level of the PSU, Michigan, and MSU home games along with the first five minutes of the OSU game. Saving the night game for PSU would be a waste as there may not be much excitement left by that point in the season, for either fan base.

My guess is both PSU and Michigan are "TBA" until either 13 or 6 days out.

It's really going to be interesting to see what happens with RU games being televised if the program becomes an annual power. As of now, most RU games are just used as bait for the die-hards to subscribe watch BTN, but if the team were ranked every week, the fanbase would grow dramatically then you'd have to think that the ratings draw to ABC network tv (or Fox in the future) would put RU on network tv in this market most weeks, especially against a Big Ten East heavy schedule.

Would "settle" for Howard at 3:30 and New Mexico at 8 but would rather have them reversed.

That 10:00 UW time better be EDT which would be 7:00 local time. I already booked my return flight from Seattle at 12:15 AM Sunday. Was planning on spending the evening at the airport hosting a victory party!

Lol! Funny response love it. Thanks for the laugh.

I understand that the BTN sets our schedule for games like Howard, but given how few people really give a crap about a glorified scrimmage, I wonder why they care that much and don't just let us have the game at 7 pm, which is when it should be. Allows for a great tailgate and avoids a brutally hot early September noon game.

Because, unfortunately, they need to put SOMEONE on at noon.

I wish we would leave the Big Ten and go back to the American. I would love to see some night games with Tulane and SMU.

Yes, you will have plenty of time to make your flight.

Not another one of these 10 pm starts on the West coast. These times really suck when we go out there and are killer to watch(we had to cancel this trip was going to go, went to Fresno). This time we need to return the favor and have a 12 pm start here unlike what we did with Fresno St and WSU. I know TV controls the start time but our AD should try and sway them. It's only fair play in my opinion.

I hate the noon starts for teams like Howard but being on B1G sure beats the ESPN3 old days. I will just have to drink more to avoid "dehydration"
