No. Campy is done! Gave up wrestling. Glad he did it now rather than during the season.

Thanks for the info everyone ! Hope to see some of you either at the wrestle offs, Olive Branch cliniic, Pre game Football Tailgate , Tailgating, Football game or any or all events ! Let's support all our athletes !

Painton beat Scott
Lipari beat Gonzalez at the buzzer
Hrymack beat Kremiller 4-3
InOT Dippery got a TD to beat Gentile. What a bout!

Backukas beat Parfumi 4-3
Theobold beat Povalac 7-0
Up next Delvecchio/Geraldo

Giraldo beat Delvecchio 3-2
Kremiller is going to be tough. He is a bull and gave Hayden a great match. He will redshirt. Here for visits are Paitzel, McCal, Mulligan and Grello.
Gravina beat Messner handily and looks tough 8-0

Without Camp at 197, don't we risk wearing out Hrymack at 197 when we tri-meets? Or do we have someone who can step up every once in a while. Normandia is not an option, is he? We'll need a reserve at 285 for Smith for the same reason

Who is McCal?

Mackel from Ohio at 125.
Normandia is doing a nice job at 285. He looks like a doughboy but lost to Smith 4-1.

Couldn't make the wrestle-off, but I couldn't imagine how Normandia could put on good weight on that small frame. He looked like he could drop to 184 last year.

Perrotti is on fire. Throwing Pagano all over the gym. 18-3 TF. 165 suits him

Richie Lewis is unreal. Quick as a cat. Beat Van Brill 10-4 Predict he wins over 20 matches this year. Great addition.

The day revealed a promising preview of a team getting better as we see. Gentile is the real deal as is Tichie Lewis. Perrotti looked strong at 165. Kremiller was a good find for the future. Del and Girardo are top shelf.

So it looks like that is the preferred starting lineup, right down the left side.

Mccabe
Giraldo (Delvecchio doesn't want to redshirt, but I assume they will make him)
Ashnault
Dippery (is Theo willing to redshirt, or will he be forced to redshirt?)
Lewis
Perrotti
Bakuckas
Gravina
Hrymack
Smith

That is a pretty solid lineup although 184, 197 and to a lesser extent 125 will likely struggle against B1G competition.

I actually have decent expectations for McCabe this year. He really came on toward the end of last year, and staff has said he's been workin his ass off.

McCabe was definitely a better wrestler towards the end of the year. Would be nice to see him continue that this year.

Can somebody explain to me why college doesn't have a 225lb weight class? Why not balance the weights out better?

Very simple answer, Title IX. It almost killed the sport entirely and succeeded in killing it at most schools.
