That would be about par for the course. Rice was in on Jenkins and Hart before Villanova and many thought Rice would get both. before you knew it Nova grabbed both of them. We have been on Dixon for a long time and now Nova has just offered him within the last 2 weeks.
Beating out schools like Villanova and Virginia would be a huge win... no offense to guys like Harper and Willis but we've got to be mixing it up with other big-time programs on the recruiting trail like we did with Mathis.
Hoping Choppin-Ohio is right, too.RU-Choppin, That sure would be nice if it did go down that way. Hopefully our being in so early will have an impact.
Willis, like Sheriden, were clearly underrated as recruits.
I was referring to Diego Willis, the kid from Mexico we offered. As far as I know we're the only offer and while it could work out, the odds are better when you're getting guys that other big schools want.
What is more important to a top tier recruit winning or atmosphere with Seton Hall having a couple thousand fans at the RAC?Villanova is a top ten program that also has a strong fan base .Yes,this recruit would help Rutgers and we will have to wait and see what school he chooses.Get him to the SHU game to see the atmosphere.

Neither. Getting to the NBA is most important to them. What is more important to a top tier recruit winning or atmosphere with Seton Hall having a couple thousand fans at the RAC?Villanova is a top ten program that also has a strong fan base .Yes,this recruit would help Rutgers and we will have to wait and see what school he chooses.
Okay but your answer doesn't support Rutgers chances of attracting Dixon. There also is the fact that many high school all americans and highly rated college players aren't drafted and therefore play over seas.Neither. Getting to the NBA is most important to them.
If you have a track record of getting guys to the league, particularly 1st round picks, you'll usually prevail over a program that doesn't.
My answer was to the question:Okay but your answer doesn't support Rutgers chances of attracting Dixon. There also is the fact that many high school all americans and highly rated college players aren't drafted and therefore play over seas.
I would tend to agree with your evaluation, plus from what I've seen of Pikiel he wants his inside kids to have great length which Dixon doesn't appear to have, and the kid doesn't look like an outside player. My answer was to the question:

I personally don't consider Dixon a "top tier recruit", but he is very good.
Maybe the student section can do one of those old school "We Want You" chants like they did for Brian Toal during that Notre Dame hoops game.
This is a kid we need...period
