PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's golf wrapped up one of their most successful seasons to date last month and capped the careers of three incredible Scarlet Knights.

Noah Kumar coming back after a 1 year "vacation" not only gives the team another experienced player but he played well in a number of events in '22-'23.

With 4 recruits, Kumar coming back along with Jones, Leon, and 2 Rising Soph's that's 9 team members. Being he wasn't mentioned I have to assume seldom used rising Junior, Logan Paczweski, may not be retutning. With only 5 players in team events there is going to be a lot of competition for those spots.

Away from Rutgers, at a final 36 Hole qualifier for 4 spots for the US Open at Canoe Brook, Chris Gotterup bogeyed his last hole and missed the playioff for the final spot by 1 stroke at 6 Under. The aforementioned Logan Paczewski also made it to the Final but finished 9 Over.

To add, there's been questions about whether Chris Gotterup represents Oklahoma or Rutgers The PGA Tour lists Oklahoma as I think they go with the last school attended.

Yesterday at the US Open qualifier his caddie was carrying his Rutgers bag.

Oh yeah, his caddie was RU Golf Coach Rob Shutt.

I'd say he represents both which seems like the right thing to me.
