The stats below are deceiving, it makes the offense appear horrific. Reality is that Illinois just controlled the ball and mauled the Minny D. Minny only ran a grand total of 42 plays all game. They averaged 5.9 YPC on the ground but just couldn't get it going in the air. Granted Illinois had a great defense with elite DB talent.

Despite the stat line not looking great. Even on Kirk's offenses worst day, they look very competent. Their worst days look like our best days last year. It certainly didn't help that Minny's offense couldn't do anything and gave up nearly 500 yards of offense.
The more I watch of Kirk's offense the more excited I get.
