A Boom From Goodale / Cody Harrison To Rutgers

Hopefully it means I finally get my scholarship.
I figure putting another 30 pounds of fat, i will be a mean, not so lean heavyweight

Maybe Richie Lewis win.

I don't think so, he did a boom, or remark for Pat Downey after Lewis' match. Actually he never even commented on Lewis. Maybe you're right. But he never mentioned Lewis ' name.

Lewis looked as good as I've ever seen him. Looked in great shape, wrestled aggressively, and led from start to finish almost every match.

His dad goes to all the Ru matches, sits in last row on the aisle of 113. Nice guy.

He looked unbelievable! Powerful takedowns.

Definitely has to be about a recruit/commit. If it was about Richie, I would imagine he would mention him by name in the tweet.

Teasdale? Lol

Lewis trains at the Lehigh Valley Club with Buxton. Downey has trained with SKWC

That's interesting didn't know that.

More on the Bergen Catholic- Blair Academy rivalry, lol:

NJ's top 152 lb HS wrestler from Phillipsburg.
Unfortunately, that doesn't mean much. This is a depth/reserve commit at best.

Wow so he has no chance to develop and be a solid contributor? Give him a chance. Kids like Gravina and Theobold weren’t big recruits and they turned out ok.. Van Brill too.

Billy Smith and DJ Russo as well.
Who said he has no chance to develop? Fact is he's not nationally ranked, has never won a NJ state title (yet), and IIRC didn't do much at Fargo, so the odds of him being an AA here are slim as of now. Sure all of that could change and I obviously hope it does and he beats the odds and exceeds expectations.

Well you said he was a reserve at best.

Very important to keep stockpiling talent. The most important thing is how much scholarship money is being used and that’s a private matter on its own.

Great pickup , congrats to the family .

I am sure we did not give up much on him.Probably more academic money which is great.Harrison has not won a title and not nationally ranked.Wrestlers like him can make the difference as a depth guy.He can also develop into a very good wrestler blossoming in college.

I said depth/reserve at best, but keep pushing your agenda. We're in the B1G and want to compete for a trophy in March and have multiple AAs and guys that have a shot at a national title, not just top 20 finishes.

By what measure is O'connel incredible? He is a good HS wrestler.
He’s been dominating 160 this year. Mostly pins and tech falls. Dropped down to 152 to wrestle Harrison. I exaggerated but don’t see it as an upset at all.

He is going 152 - The weight is wide open and anyone from 1-6 can win it. Kannaird is king at 160 and O'Connell is not on the same level as him.
