I did not see the rider fall off the horse yesterday, was not looking in that direction

wondering if anyone knows about the condition of the rider, the horse, and will there possibly be a
suspension of future efforts

one person who saw it said it seemed like the saddle slipped off, as though it might not have been
properly secured in the first place..

in any event, this new horse looks very skittish in the stadium....looks like it might not be the best
choice for this

Nothing new, people fall off horses Any rider who says they've never fallen off is full of sh*t. Now put on all that crap she's wearing and holding a sword, people will fall off horses even more. I'm sure she's OK she wasn't going very fast.

We've never done this tunnel thing before with the Horse. Horses have an instinct not to run over people. When you line up people on either side with shinny objects they get a little spooked.

thanks

still think the horse needs to get used to the crowd and the stadium itself.... hopefully it works out

If you look at other colleges who do the horse thing FSU, Boise St. and Texas Tech to name a few, they give the Horse practically the entire field to itself. We shove a couple hundred people right in it's face.

Snowflake horse.
That ingrate of a horse would not eat the granola from the BTN tailgate announcer when she offered a second time.

A horse is a horse of course of course
And no one can talk to a horse of course.
That is of course unless the horse
Is the famous Mister Ed!
Go right to the source and ask the horse.
He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse
He's always on a steady course.
Talk to Mister Ed!
People yakkity-yak a streak
And waste your time of day,
but Mister Ed will never speak
Unless he has something to say!

I know this will be an unpopular post with many. But I care at least as much about animals as people. And I never thought putting a horse out in the stadium with all the loud noises and people was a particularly kind thing to do to the horse.

Surely some horses are more relaxed about this sort of thing than others. So perhaps they can quiet all the artificial loud noises at "horse time", clear away all the people from where the horse will be, and also find a horse or two that is less skittish in that context.

You want a calm horse, get my 14 yr. old, 17.5 hand Keya. She's a descendent of War Admiral but completely sucked as a race horse. All the big girls love to ride her, makes them feel small.🤣

Of course Keya wouldn't run out of the tunnel no matter how much you coaxed her to, she'd slowly saunter out, stop to say high to the Tuba player, maybe see if she could eat the artificial turf, take a nice sh*t by the cheerleaders, then saunter back in.

LOL. Sign her up! I like her already.

I haven't ridden in decades, not since I was like 12 or so. Used to ride during winter vacations in FL when my parents let me spend time at a ranch each year. Rode a lot of horses there, over the years. One, named Gunsmoke, was supposed to be off limits to "customers" like me. Big, fast and ornery.

But I was friends with the rancher's kid who was roughly my age. One year, he snuck me onto Gunsmoke. That was quite an experience. Gunsmoke took me for a ride, immediately trying to buck me off and then taking off for bit until the rancher's kid got alongside and calmed him down.

Then the rancher showed up. Oops. He was seriously pissed off at us. His kid and I spent the whole rest of the day doing various unpleasant chores around the farm.

I was too young to really understand the danger, so the experience with Gunsmoke was great fun for me. But it was definitely too much horse for my dubious riding skill level.

Never saw Juvie referenced that way before. Nice.
