I read an article about college football winter conditioning programs, apparently the winter programs are more grueling than the regular season.

They are different. As far as pushing one body to exhaustion then yes it is moe.re grueling. They really push it to the limit. However you typically have a few days off during the week. The season is grueling in the fact your spending far more time dedicated to football and your physically beat up more. The workouts aren't as intense but there is only one day off a week.
