Just went over to the Penn State message board and they are arguing (in 2016) whether the "A** Slapping sounds McQueery heard in the Penn State shower were that of Sandusky and a kid. 80% of the posters are in denial and worse than most if not all on our political board! We may get beat 79-0 but sometimes it aint so bad to be a Rutgers fan!

Agreed but I'd rather lose 79-0 than to have that happen. Kind of puts things in perspective. Offhand no animosity towards PSU-was recruited there fro grad school and chose UNC in a very tough decision that I may still be paying for.

People are not trying to argue about the Sandusky scandal anymore - they are pointing out that Penn State has such a cult-like atmosphere surrounding their football program, that still to this day they try to claim nothing anyone involved with their athletic program did was wrong. And those that do, say it was "just one guy" - but fail to realize that it was/IS the culture around that program that was/IS the problem.

You could do what you want. I get bad vibes about threads like this which is why I say nothing. We are undermanned, we are giving up speed, size and strength in just about every position. Why agitate or provoke them even more when it's not us walking onto the field against them.

I think your missing the point. Most PSU fans think Sandusky is guilty as hell and should rot in prison. But many also believe that he didn't get a fair trial. That doesn't mean he is innocent. Everyone is entitled to competent legal representation and fair legal treatment. Even the monsters.

When we played at the Meadowlands back in the day I once had a thin skinned Penn State linebacker (maybe DOnofrio?) try to come up into the stands after me. Told him to
sit the f*ck down and that he was an embarassment to the school! The current PSU players should focused and men enough not to worry about message boards (well, maybe their boards given Sandusky).
