ACC and first round

This is nothing new, especially at the U, but folks line up for days to bash the kids and the program. You can't play at FSU, the U, Clemson etc if you stink.....that's a fact!

There are only 32 1st round picks. From 15 ACC teams you had 9 picks. That means they had 9 of the best players on the country. Unless you have 3-4 on 1 team it will have little impact on the individual team's performance. FSU was a top team so them having a top kid is expected.

The NFL draft is based a lot on talent and potential and not always college stats. Yes you had 2 QBs with great statistical careers but when you have linebackers and defensive line players they look at their size, speed, quickness, and what they can offer at the next level. For O-line they look at size and how they did but a great lineman on a bad team vs a decent lineman on a good team is tough to evaluate. We had Anthony Davis who was a 1st round pick but our teams were not tremendous in the years he played but just good.

Rutgers had 2 first rounders on one team and only won 9 games.

An interesting storyline in this year's draft is the dilemma Al Golden faces with so many Miami's players expected to go in the first 2 rounds. You know deep down he is sweating over how many players are expected to go so early after a 6-7 season.

Charlie Ward won a Heisman and was never seen as an early round pick if he declared. College doesnt always translate to the pros.

seems statistically relevant as the acc and Pac 12 unseated the sec dominance of the draft. Of significant note no OSU players taken yet - meaning they are young and loaded.
