Many of the early games Friday are blowouts so this should be one of the best games of the day on paper. The winner will definitely pose a contrast to the style of Texas Tech.

Alabama has the athletic advantage in this one across most spots on the floor but they have been very inconsistent this year and finished the year on a losing streak against some shaky teams. They are considered by many to be the most vulnerable 6 seed in the bracket. Notre Dame will have to slow down the Tide who like to score in transition.

I would expect a lot of three point attempts in total between the two teams.

Jahvon Quinerly who has been less efficient than last year remains the team's second leading scorer.

Currently Alabama is a 4 point favorite in most places. Over/under total is around 152 which is one of the higher estimates for any of the first round games.

Can’t even watch this one. Maybe I’ll tune in if ND is getting blown out.

Guys we all know ND is now going to the final four.

I am actually happy we lost. The thought of potentially losing to Alabama having to read kyk go on and on and on and on about how quinerly is the greatest player in college basketball history and how pikiell didnt want him based on his sources would be worse than actually losing in double overtime at the buzzer to ND.

Really want to see how ND looks with a team defending them straight up.

Their shooter is 3/3 from 3 right now

Kinda want ND now lol just to show people we matter. And I HATE Alabama even more tbh

Even though I watch tons of NCAA basketball, I think I only watched one half of a Notre Dame game this year. They are so much better than I thought they were going to be.

Best of Luck,
Groz

Im almost thinking that Brey has totally changed what they were. The wrinkle of developing an inside game changes alot and Bama forced to prepare off the RU game yet the Irish can be versatile

I can watch just indifferent but love see to see how a team is basically playing a back to back games. Getting 1 good night of sleep

How the heck is Alabama a 6 seed?

They finished in 8th place with a 9-9 record in the SEC.

Compare that to Rutgers finishing in 4th with a 12-8 record in a better basketball conference.

Their overall record was 19-13. ... one more win than Rutgers.

Yet they're a 6th seed and Rutgers was not only an 11th, but had to play a penalty game?

Maybe the committee thought they were seeding football teams.

Are you serious? They beat gonzaga and Baylor ooc. We lost to Lafayette. I refuse to believe people don’t understand this.

Yep. There's a reason Brey has lasted 22 yrs in the job. Not easy in a
high profile spot

They've always had an inside game this season. They score more points from 2P range than 3P range, and take 36% of their shots at the rim (to 42% from the arc).

Atkinson averaged 13/7 this year, and has had 8 games of 17+ points. He hit double-digit points in 25 games.

Bama does suck. Man if only we won we’ll be in the elite 8 without a doubt. Ik we would’ve won against Texas Tech idc

On average, they take 20.1 shots at the rim, 12.4 shots in the midrange, and 24.0 shots from the arc. And they get to the FT line for 15.2 attempts per game, which is more likely to happen at the rim than on the arc.

ND isn't a single-faceted team. They play inside out - scoring at both levels, depending on what the defense presents.

No quinerly so that helps for sure, but we would have smacked this Bama team.

You’re probably right .
But I hate posts like this and the ones we would have beat Wyoming . We got our draw and game . We lost a classic game. No sour grapes
