I felt the team was pulling out all the stops to win a game. It just seems like we are so damn predictable that our opponents just take advantage of it.
Our defense is really bad. They look slow and weak against less than great teams. When we go up against the top teams in the conference we may well see epic blow outs unless they clear their benches and go vanilla on us.
Our offense looks like its play book is printed on one page. We seem totally incapable of running even a basic play without causing a flag. Laviano seemed to trying to hand off to absent players.
I do not believe PSU is really all that good. They just performed at a better level and did what they pretty much wanted all game. We looked like the team was picked to play together out in the parking lot.
When we took a time out to keep Laviano in the game, I knew all was lost. I now have done a full 180 on Flood and his QB management. He is sticking with "his guy" until hell freezes over. Rettig may as well start looking for a Div. ll program to transfer to so he doesn't have to sit another year out. He has zero chance of seeing the field unless Laviano is incapacitated. Which may happen with the o-line we have.
I think we may win as many as two more games, but I would not bet a dime on that. We are looking at a Shea like season.
