Andy Katz on Rutgers and Illinois

19-0 at the RAC !!!

If that happens

I predict that we find 4 win out of confrence and go 14-6/23-8....and head to Indianapolis to play for a NCAA seed...rom worse case a 6 or 7 seed (if we lost in the first round ...I think 23-9 would get us a 6 or 7 seed) all the way up to a three seed if we win the big ten tournament at 26-8 (outside chance at a 2 seed...but probably 3)

OMG, this is the Kiss of Death. Its the very LAST thing our guys need to hear ahead of a game they are SUPPOSED to win.

The effort was lacking a but at times against Iowa - not boxing out, not following shots - I'm really concerned they are going to be in a fog against Nebraska and sleepwalk their way through a game they could lose.
Ugh...

Pike needs to get their attention. We are not good enough to show up and win. Against Nebraska, take control early, keep the crowd in it, and win convincingly. Slow start, fans angry at home team, not a good recipe.

After Nebraska, Northwestern is the only remaining game where Rutgers should be considered a strong favorite to win.

If you paid attention to this team, this entire season, you would instantly take your words back. After that awful outing against Saint Bonaventure we have arguably been one of the best teams in the nation. We did it without one of our stars for three games, as well, so I think you can relax a little bit my friend.

We were playing Iowa, at Carver Hawkeye Arena, at their pace, on a school night. Stop. We are going to absolutely steamroll Nebraska tomorrow. Watch.

I understand where you're coming from, but we've spent almost 30 years being conditioned to expect failure and we know our team is good, but not good enough to win if we don't play hard.

School night? That’s the new excuse?

don’t know what STRONG means, but this is a VERY negative approach. Very negative.

Our team has been very well focused all year for every game. I believe the Nebraska game will be closer than the 17 points we won by in Nebraska but that we will win. The guys worked really hard today and were locked in at practice.

Uh, I seem to recall a pretty lackluster performance at Pitt.

And that loss to PSU last year - followed by a terrible loss to Nebraska - is hard to forget.

I'd live to steamroll Nebraska. But its when the team starts to think like Nuts that they will cough up a hairball like they did in Toronto.

This could be why they were a bit flat at times today. Maybe they left it all out on the court in practice yesterday.
