Andy Katz Snubs Rutgers' Ace Bailey, Dylan Harper With Big Ten Freshman of the Year Pick

It's absurd but no one in basketball circles get fooled by nonsense like Katz is pushing out there.

It's silly stuff like this that promotes the college sports propaganda that Boise State getting a bye in the CFB playoff seeding and having the team that didn't get a bye week in Penn State, being a 11 to 13 point favorite over Boise State in the matchup.

i get RU fans are leery of being complimentary of our own players and every other coach walks on water, but there's a reason why NBA scouts and coaches ultimately laugh at CBB in a lot of ways. Promoting only kids who happen to have played on winning programs are why the majority of the "busts", at the NBA level come out of Duke.....carry on fellow fans.....

Dylan’s body of work is not great considering his misfortune of sickness and injury. Doesn’t help he phoned the last game in 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ace a bit different but his inconsistency can’t be overlooked.

Queen is the best freshman. Period. Actions over hype.

Queen has proven he’s the best most consistent frosh. We DID Ace sit the second half off? Do we really know?? Well….He was gettin destroyed and outplayed by Queen… it’s obvious. I think he tried to save face, honestly. Disagree all you want but the numbers don’t lie.

Hawk I hear you and agree with your broader point.

Queen is having a great season for a freshman and is impacting winning. By NO means do I believe he is a better player now or in the future then Ace or Dylan but as a college award I’m ok with it.

If we had to give out a Big Ten PG player of year award for the year . Would you vote for Dylan or Braden Smith from Purdue?

I don’t love it but I get it

I’ll vote for a player on a winning team most of the time. The reason Maryland is winning is because Queen is stepping up for them night in and night out. If Ace and Dylan carried us to 4 more wins this season; they’d get the nod. But they haven’t so…

Dylan and Ace have been held back by injuries and sickness.

Has Queen?

He is a great player and has been able to consistently show he can produce.

Life is like that. You may have all the talent in the world, but you still need a little bit of luck to perform at your maximum.

Dylan and Ace could not help RU beat Kennesaw State nor could they remain on the court for a good portion of the season.

Iowa game was rough for them as a no show.

WOW...never seen such consensus , reasonableness, and non-homorism (made that word up). I totally agree and not because I don't think our guys are great. But what many have said here. Good job.

I can’t argue with him. I have been impressed with Queen since I saw him play last year in the McDonalds game last year.
The kid is a beast and has made a huge difference on the terps. Im glad I got down to maryland to see him play in person. As much as it pains me as an RU fan, Queen was the best player on the court that day.

He was the best player on the court when we played MD. Wasn’t even close.
Because of the stiffs defending him. We have no interior defense's at with a 5 who plays like he’s 6’3” with no ups. So you can’t go by one game.

And having two stars on the same team weakens their individual impact.

But, it’s life in the big city and the kid deserves it.
