Andy Katz talks to Geo Baker

Geo certainly is a wonderful representative for our B-Ball team and Rutgers. All of our players seem to be. I met Myles Johnson's father at practice last week and he is a great guy as well. I told him how much respect I have for Myles. I am going to today's practice again. It should be fun.

Might be the most underrated player since I've been following Rutgers basketball (graduated in '90). Geo is likely to finish his career top 10-15 all time in scoring (right around Billet/Hinson/Troy), top 3 or 4 in assists (around Ellerbe/Billet) and I believe he has a chance to pass Eddie Jordan as our all time leader in steals (Eddie has 220, Geo has 103 currently).

If he can get us to the NCAA in his career here and make an All-B1G list, I believe he will go down as an all time great at Rutgers. He is a kid with a chance at the next level. Size, handle, defense and ability to shoot it are skills that translate up a level.

It’s nice kids are good in interviews . But it’s about being good in games . And they were the past week and that’s all that matters .

I'm still shocked that Steve hasn't yet recruited another Geo Baker type.

There are a couple of 2021 guards on the list that kinda replicate the combo guard with high BB IQ. They're the bridge to the sustainable level of the program in 2021 and beyond.
